What if you could pinpoint exactly what you need to do to grow your Shopify business? Let a Shopify Partner lead the way…
If you want to increase your:
- Conversion rate
- Average order value
- Frequency of purchase
- and ultimately, your revenue…
then you’re in the right place. But before we dive right in, let’s talk about ‘The Leaky Bucket Theory of Ecommerce’. This theory states:
“Trying to increase sales simply by driving more traffic to a website with a poor conversion rate is like trying to keep a leaky bucket full by adding more water instead of plugging the holes“
Here at The Ecommerce Profits, ‘The Leaky Bucket Theory’ is central to our approach. What’s the point of blindly sending more traffic to your website if the traffic you’ve already got is failing to convert?
That’s why when we begin working with Shopify businesses, we establish up-front whether your Shopify store has a conversion problem or a traffic problem.
When Co-Founder of The Ecommerce Profits, Nelson Jordan, was tasked with growing revenue from a six-figure Plumbing Equipment business, the client was keen to drive more traffic to the site, via Google Search and Shopping Ads. After conducting a Growth Audit, which focused on Onsite Optimisation, it was evident that the problem wasn’t the traffic, it was the site.
Starting down the wrong route could have resulted in a large amount of wasted resource, in both a financial sense and months of frustrated efforts.
Instead, after just six months of working together, the same client is now looking at increased revenue of 178%, and all being well, will soon be on track for their first seven-figure year ever.
What’s included in the Growth Audit?
The objective of the Growth audit is to identify problem areas of your Shopify store, and provide recommendations to increase its the revenue it generates. In short, we pinpoint where your Shopify store could be making more money.
The audit consists of three parts:
Current Store Statistics
It’s important that we’re all working from the same data, as otherwise any assumptions will be flawed. We look at Google Analytics and transactional data to understand the following:
– Who is visiting your store, and who is purchasing
– Which traffic channel is working best and which are underperforming
– Top landing pages
– Most important pages
– Number of transactions
– Average order value
– Frequency of purchase
– Conversion rate
Shopify Store Analysis
Using experienced-based analysis, combined with Google Analytics and Heatmap analysis, a ConversionXL Certified CRO Optimiser will analyse your most important pages and tell you exactly where you’re leaving money on the table. We believe firmly in the 80/20 rule, and so we focus on the most important pages of your store. Typically, this includes:
– The home page
– Category pages
– Product pages
– Key landing pages
– The ‘About Us’ and ‘Contact Us’ pages
– And last, but most definitely not least, the Checkout process
We want to make sure that you have everything you need to go away and start making positive changes the same day. Recommendations tend to fall into one or more of these categories:
– Copywriting – creation of new copy or landing pages
– Formatting – removal or creation of new sections or menus
– Technical – additional features, recommended app installations or customisation of code
After you’ve received the recommendations, you can either implement them yourself, find someone else to do them, or we can provide you with a quote for us to deliver them, complete with full costs (so no surprises later) and a timeline to deliver these.
You’re under no obligation to use The Ecommerce Profits to implement the recommendations once provided, the choice really is up to you.
How will I receive the Growth Audit?
After we’ve completed the Growth Audit, we’ll be in touch to arrange a time to deliver a screenshare, during which we’ll go through a presentation section by section, explaining as we go, and ensuring that you fully understand our findings. We’ll also record it, so you can play it back in your own time if you’d like to recap a particular point. Please allocate two hours for the screenshare.
Current turnaround time for a Growth Audit is two weeks, though we endeavour to complete these as quickly as possible, while retaining the high quality we demand of our work. After all, we understand that for every extra day we take, it’s extra money that you could be making from your Shopify store.
Not every Shopify store is suitable for a Growth Audit of this nature.
- We only work with existing Shopify stores. If you don’t have one yet, then we’re not the partner for you
- You must have an average revenue of at least $3,000 per month over a period of at least three months. We want to make sure that we’re delivering the most value to you, so we want any increases in revenue to exceed what you’re paying to use our services. (Under $3k of monthly revenue? Take a look at our Traffic Acquisition service instead , it’s more likely to be right for you.)
- You must be the owner of the store, or have a large amount of control over the direction of the business. We don’t want to make recommendations only to find that other internal stakeholders have the deciding say in whether they are implemented
- You must have Google Analytics set up
If your Shopify store doesn’t meet all of these criteria, then we won’t be able to conduct a full Growth Audit. In our experience, those stores that don’t meet these criteria can normally benefit from one of our traffic acquisition services to gain more customers instead.
The price for a Growth Audit is $995, payable upfront.
Every Growth Audit comes with a 100% money back guarantee. If you don’t see an increase in revenue after implementing our recommendations, we’ll refund all of your money.
We believe we’ll deliver great results for your Shopify store, and we’re willing to back that up by offering this guarantee.
Great, so what should I do next?
